Claybody
Claybody is a unique range of porcelain home-wares designed and made by award winning Australian ceramic artist Clare Fennessy. Clare aims to create statement one off pieces to compliment the interior of the home.
Drawing on her ceramics training at the Victorian College of the Arts and Latrobe University, her time living in Japan and her passion and talent for handmade ceramics, the claybody label was born. Clare has had her work exhibitied on Melbourne trains, in Loreal Melbourne Fashion week and in Melbourne and Regional Australia. Claybody was launched in 2010 and it is a life long dream of Clares to have her own Home-ware business.
Claybody is influenced by the colours in nature, beautiful interior design and ceramic artists such as Guy Boyd and Gwyn Hanssen Pigott.
Bombora Custom Furniture
The Surf Coasts own Bombora Custom Furniture specialises in refined recycled timber furniture. A huge range of furniture can be custom designed and built such as dining tables, outdoor tables, coffee tables, beds, bookcases, TV cabinets as well as some more unusual items such as a 3D tree bookcase, outdoor landscaping installations and built in cabinetry.
After moving from Melbourne in early 2012, Bombora Custom Furniture finally settled into its true home at Ashmore Arts nestled in the rolling hills on the edge of Torquay. Bombora began 6 years ago after a necessity for furniture on a small student budget turned into a passion. Word of mouth business kept Luke busy till in 2012 when wife Alison joined the team to turn a part time hobby into a fully-fledged family business.
Junk Owl
Junk Owls creations reside in Betty the renovated caravan & has been a talking point at the markets for a few seasons now.
Junk owl was created around 2 children, a husband, a demanding cat & pet fish. I prioritise my workload around the family giving me the freedom to travel & work & most importantly socialise around the market scene.
Junk owls creations are handcrafted one off pieces & are fashioned on timeless inspirations of earthly tones, rich florals & nostalgic patterns.
Junk owl is a cottage industry working on the ethos that handcrafted items reside here in the community giving the pieces 'soul' rather than just another item that has been imported with no story or history & no thought for 'love' in the making!
Jenny Laidlaw
Jenny’s love and passion for the ocean and the mountains have been the inspiration for many of her works. In her finely detailed pen and ink drawings with collage material, the viewer can put together all the elements like a jigsaw puzzle to learn the story behind each picture.
The world she creates is “collected”….each picture, with its group of found objects, tells a story of a nearly mythical landscape and history. She loves blending realism, surrealism and found objects into her works with the hope that each piece will inspire the viewer to contemplate his or her own relationship with their environment.
By including a dose of fantasy in some of her works, she invites the viewer to examine more closely, to establish where the line is drawn between fantasy and fact.

Indie Art Dolls are pieces of Art and are for display purposes only. Each doll is different and unique and no doll will be the same.

Luciandjoe Bookbinding
Luciandjoe bookbinding produces books which upcycle discarded – but beautiful – hardcover books to create a new and unique product. Each of these books contains the character and qualities of the original cover, some pages and features (including a library check-in card in one). They have then added new paper, embellishments and bindings to create these one-of-a-kind products.
There is a mix of traditional bookbinding techniques in luciandjoe’s products, as well as some more unique binding and approaches. Please don’t ask them to restore your treasured old book though, it’s not that kind of bookbinding business!
Willems Woodwork
Willems Woodwork specialises in timber products including jewellery boxes, antipasto and chopping boards, custom made signs and custom made wedding wishing wells. Their slogan is 'You design it, we create it!'
